I can admit that I've been slack, it's been over a week since I've posted BUT in my defense I've been out exploring & been pretty god damn sick. Lost my voice! People that know me personally would understand that I never shut up! So it's super difficult for me to give my vocal chords a chance to recover.
I left New Orleans yesterday. I was there for Mardi Gras: AMAZING. So happy that I experienced it. I met some really cool people that I will definitely visit when I venture over to Europe (2 germans & a Brit)

The weather was lame - cold, wet and slushy. But that can't take away from the fact we all had the best time. New Orleans is a really cute town! I feel like it has a close community especially after the Hurricane. There are many houses that are abandoned so that gives a roof for the homeless and the hard core backpackers - a place for them to get off the street.
I pretty much survived off Pizza thanks to a German girl named Kati who's only food groups are pizza, pasta and vodka.

I have to write about one of my biggest highlights from the trip & that definitely has to be Cafe Du Monde. The original coffee stand was established in 1862 in the New Orleans French Market. Open: 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The menu is simple. Consisting of Beignets, white or chocolate milk, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee.
What are Beignets!? A French - style doughnut lavishly covered with powdered sugar.

I could write about Mardi Gras 2014 for hours and hours. The memories I made over the few days I will never forget. 2 Germans, 1 Brit, a yank and an Aussie. Coming together.
& We survived... See you next time New Orleans
